On April 10, 2019, the first director and deputy director meeting of the Installation and Maintenance Professional Committee of the China Elevator Association was successfully held in the conference room of the headquarters of Shanghai Yongda Elevator Equipment (China) Co., Ltd. We discussed and approved the preparation work and agenda for the 2019 meeting of the Installation and Maintenance Professional Committee, and exchanged and discussed recent market hot topics.

At the beginning of the meeting, Xu Zuomin, General Manager of Yongda Elevator Equipment (China) Co., Ltd., delivered a welcoming speech, expressing a warm welcome to the attending representatives of the Installation and Maintenance Professional Committee of the China Elevator Association. This article briefly introduced the development process and production and marketing layout of Yongda Elevator in China, and also provided a detailed introduction to the future development of Yongda that everyone is concerned about.

Subsequently, Zhang Lexiang, Secretary General of the China Elevator Association, gave a comprehensive introduction to the current situation of the elevator industry in China. As of the end of 2018, the number of elevators in China reached 6.28 million. The transition from an incremental market to a stock market has made the potential for the post elevator market for elevator installation, maintenance, and renovation enormous, which will bring new development opportunities to the elevator industry. The increasing demand for elevator maintenance and renovation will create a new segmented industry, becoming a new driving force for the development of the elevator industry.

Chairman Cai Rubin presided over the meeting and reported on the changes in the deputy director unit representative of the Professional Committee in 2018; Financial income and expenditure settlement of the 2018 meeting of the Professional Committee; Meanwhile, the 2019 China Elevator Association Installation and Maintenance Annual Conference is initially scheduled to be held in Tianjin or Hebei in mid to late September.

Subsequently, the attending experts organized discussions on the main topics of the 2019 annual meeting. We had a warm and thorough exchange and discussion on the recently released hot topics of installation and maintenance, including new requirements for relevant standards and specifications, new regulations for qualification permits, on-demand maintenance, renovation of old elevators, installation of old buildings, and integration of installation resources. How to improve personnel's literacy and establish a reasonable training system? How to implement on-demand maintenance and stimulate the initiative of staff? How to establish a reasonable elevator maintenance fee to reflect the work value of maintenance personnel? How to allocate social resources reasonably and maximize economic benefits? We will organize professional personnel to develop industry team standards for elevator installation, renovation, repair, and maintenance personnel, and submit them to the China Elevator Association for review. Through multiple discussions, the core topics of the 2019 annual meeting have been preliminarily determined, and a division of labor has been carried out for the preparation of the meeting. A consensus has been reached for the professional committee to further implement relevant work this year.

After the meeting, the chairman and vice chairman members visited the headquarters of Yongda Elevator Equipment (China) Co., Ltd. and took a group photo together. This meeting made proper arrangements for the smooth progress of the work of the 19th Professional Committee Annual Meeting and achieved a complete success.
