Significant achievements in elevator operation supervision in Ningxiang County

In order to strengthen elevator safety supervision and management, prevent and reduce elevator safety accidents, Ningxiang County has taken multiple measures to carry out special inspections and rectification of elevator safety, and strengthened elevator safety supervision work, achieving significant results. So far, there are a total of 3122 registered elevators (including 145 escalators) in Ningxiang County, with an annual growth rate of about 30-40%, a regular inspection rate of 90.1%, and about 20 maintenance companies. The overall operation of elevators in the county remained stable, and there were no production safety accidents such as elevator fatalities or disabilities.

According to the relevant person in charge of the Market Supervision Bureau of Ningxiang County, there are mainly problems with elevators in Ningxiang County, such as failure to conduct annual inspections on time, inadequate maintenance and upkeep in daily life, long-term operation with illness, and poor comfort when taking elevators. In order to strengthen elevator safety supervision and management, in April last year, the Ningxiang County Market Supervision Bureau convened elevator maintenance units, property company representatives, and the provincial special inspection institute's workstation in Nanjing for mobilization and deployment, and launched a nearly one-year elevator supervision conference. In the action, the problems of five communities, including Yujing Mingcheng Community, were reported to Yutan Subdistrict and Lijingpu Subdistrict respectively; We have overcome the "big problem" of Century Sunshine Community and urged Century Sunshine and Yujing Yuntian to use property maintenance funds to carry out major repairs on 20 elevators. In early August last year, 85 escalators and moving walkways were inspected in the county, and a total of 32 safety hazards were ordered to be rectified during the inspection. In combination with daily complaint handling, a total of 1029 elevators from 67 units including Zhongyuan Ningxiang Huadu were inspected, and elevator supervision has formed a high-pressure normal.

In terms of complaints, Ningxiang County received nearly 20 proposals, complaint inquiries, and hotline work orders regarding the use, maintenance, inspection, and repair of elevators in 2015, involving residential areas and properties including Jiacheng Garden, Yulong International, Century Sunshine, and Daximen. In response to the above complaints, the Market Supervision Bureau of Ningxiang County has conducted on-site inspections, mediation and investigation.
